Report a campaign
If something about a campaign looks wrong, please tell us. Reports go to our verification team and we take them seriously — a campaign raises money toward a funeral invoice we have issued, so a campaign that is not genuine is a problem for us as much as for you.
If money has already left your account
Contact your bank or wallet provider first and ask them to freeze or dispute the transaction — they can act faster than we can on a payment that has already been made. Then tell us directly at 0977 811 3377 rather than waiting on this form.
What is worth reporting
- The campaign appears to be fabricated, or the person named has not died.
- Someone is collecting for a family without their knowledge or consent.
- The details are wrong — the name, the dates, or the photograph.
- The same campaign has been published more than once.
- The content is offensive, or the photograph is not the family's to publish.
- Somebody contacted you asking for your MPIN, a one-time password, or a wallet password while referring to a campaign. That is never us.
What happens after you report
- Your report reaches our verification team and is logged against the campaign.
- We review it, normally within two (2) business days. We may pause donations to the campaign while we look into it.
- If a campaign is not genuine we remove it and stop collection. Where donations were taken, we deal with them under our Refund Policy, and we may report the matter to the authorities.
- If you leave an email address we will tell you the outcome. You may also report anonymously.
Your report is treated confidentially. We do not tell the campaign organizer who reported it. What you send is handled in line with our Privacy Policy. Please do not include payment credentials of any kind — Abuloy.ph never needs them.
