Who you are dealing with

Abuloy.ph is operated by Philippine Funeral Technologies Inc., which also issues the service invoice a campaign pays down and whose payment account receives your money.

Philippine Funeral Technologies Inc. is the merchant of record for every donation. It is not a bank, an electronic money issuer, a remittance agent or a trustee, and it does not hold funds on behalf of any third party. Money you give is applied against an invoice you are helping a family settle with us.

What this service is

Each campaign raises money toward the invoice for funeral services that Philippine Funeral Technologies Inc. is itself providing. We do not raise funds for other funeral homes, and we do not operate an open fundraising platform on which the public can post campaigns.

Because the goal is an invoice we have issued, the fundraising target equals that invoice total, and collection stops once it is met. We therefore never end up holding a surplus belonging to a family.

How campaigns are created

Campaigns are created and published by our own staff, working with the family, at the time funeral arrangements are made. Members of the public cannot create a campaign on this site. If you would like a campaign set up for your family, please contact us.

A campaign goes live once our staff publish it. The “Verified campaign” badge is a separate mark, granted only after a documentary review has actually been carried out. A campaign without that badge has not yet been through that review. We may pause, unpublish or remove any campaign at any time, including where information proves inaccurate, where fraud is suspected, or where we are required to do so by law.

Donations

• A donation is a voluntary gift toward a family's funeral costs. It is not a purchase, an investment, a loan or a deposit, and it entitles you to no goods, services, equity or return.
• Your donation is not tax-deductible as a charitable contribution unless you are separately issued a document that says so. Philippine Funeral Technologies Inc. is a business, not an accredited donee institution.
• A donation counts toward a campaign total only once the payment is confirmed. Where you pay by transferring to our QR code and submitting a reference number, the amount appears in the total only after we have verified that the payment arrived.
• You must be legally capable of entering into a contract, and the funds you use must be lawfully yours. Do not donate using an account or instrument you are not authorised to use.
• Any processing fee is shown to you before you confirm. Where we state that we absorb the fee, the full amount you give is credited against the family's invoice.

Payment security

Payment authentication happens only within your bank or wallet provider's own app or hosted page. We will never ask you for your MPIN, a one-time password, or any wallet or banking password. Treat any such request as fraudulent, whoever appears to be making it, and tell us.

Settlement and use of funds

Confirmed donations are received into Philippine Funeral Technologies Inc.'s own payment account and applied against the named family's service invoice. Settlement timing follows the payment provider's schedule; we do not represent that funds are settled before the provider confirms it. Where a campaign is removed or a family's arrangements change, we will apply or return funds in a manner consistent with the Refund Policy and with our legal obligations.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe it has been compromised. We may suspend or close an account that is used to abuse the service, to attempt fraud, or in breach of these terms.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• submit false, misleading or impersonating information;
• use the service to launder money or to move the proceeds of any offence;
• attempt to access accounts, data or systems you are not authorised to access;
• scrape, overload, probe or interfere with the service or its security controls; or
• post content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing or infringing.

If you believe a campaign is not genuine, please report it.

Content you submit

You keep ownership of the words and images you submit. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host and display them for the purpose of operating the campaign and the site. You must have the right to submit what you send — in particular any photograph of the person who has died — and you must have the consent of the family concerned.

Availability and liability

We aim to keep the service available and accurate, but we provide it “as is” and do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by Philippine law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of profit or goodwill. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, for wilful misconduct, or for gross negligence. Where our liability is limited, our total liability to you in connection with a donation will not exceed the amount of that donation.

Independence

Abuloy.ph is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by GCash (G-Xchange, Inc.), Mynt, Maya, any bank, or Meta Platforms, Inc. Their names and marks are used only to identify the payment or sharing channels available to you. Facebook is used only as a sharing channel that a user chooses to use.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and the version in force when you donate is the one that applies to that donation. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the proper courts of the Philippines. If a provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Nothing here removes any right you have under the Consumer Act of the Philippines or the Data Privacy Act of 2012.
